Almut MacDonald

Almut MacDonald is a summer law student in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office.

Almut is currently enrolled in the JD program at the University of Ottawa. She made the Dean’s Honour List and was selected for the First-Year Technoship at the Centre for Law, Technology and Society. She also contributed to the Ottawa Law Review as an assistant editor and worked as a research assistant.

During law school, Almut is an active mooter. Almut’s team placed second at the 2019 Oxford International Intellectual Property Moot. She also participated in the Nelligan O’Brien Payne First-Year Moot Court Competition and Dentons Negotiation Competition.

Prior to law school, Almut graduated “with merit” from the École Supérieure De Commerce de Paris (ESCP Europe), completing a masters degree in European business and the Programme Européen d’enseignement supérieur en management.

Almut also completed an undergraduate and graduate degree in psychology at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany.
