Anabel Damaso

Anabel Damaso is an associate in Gowling WLG's Montreal office, and a member of the Employment, Labour & Equalities Group.

In her practice, Anabel addresses all aspects of labour relations, including questions relating to the interpretation and application of collective agreements, occupational health and safety policies, labour standards, and employer governance rights. She also has experience with the imposition of disciplinary measures, group terminations, and dismissals.

Anabel holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Law from the University of Ottawa, as well as an honours bachelor's degree in International Development and Globalization.

Throughout her postsecondary studies in Ottawa, Anabel was deeply involved in faculty life, serving two consecutive years as a level representative, and as a member of the Academic Affairs Committee of the Civil Law Section. She was also a member of the Truth and Conciliation Committee, and participated in the implementation of a mandatory class on Canada's First Nations legal traditions.

She practices law in French and English and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
