Andréane Lafrance

Andréane Lafrance is an associate lawyer in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Advocacy Group. Her practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation.

Andréane is a graduate from the University of Ottawa’s bijural Programme de droit canadien (J.D. / LL.L.). During law school, Andréane worked as a research assistant in the field of Indigenous law, and interned and volunteered at the Human Rights Clinic at the University of Ottawa. She also previously worked at Transport Canada, where she’s dealt with administrative law matters.

Prior to her law career, Andréane worked for her family business in northern Ontario as a funeral director, where she managed the local funeral home. Andréane was also involved within her community while being a member of the Board of Directors of Maison Renaissance in Hearst, Ontario, a treatment centre for people who suffer from substance abuse problems.

Andréane is fluent in French and English and serves clients in both languages.
