Angela Danko

Angela Danko is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office, practising primarily in the areas of health law, professional liability, and commercial litigation.

Angela summered and articled with Gowling WLG, and has gained valuable advocacy experience representing clients at the Alberta Court of Justice, as well as assisting on a variety of civil litigation matters before the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and Alberta Court of Appeal. 

Angela earned her JD from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2019. During law school, she worked for the Career Development Office, conducted research for the Canadian Civil Liberties Association on disability and mental health discrimination in the law, sat on the Dalhousie Student Union Appeals Committee, and volunteered for the Nova Scotia Labour Board, assisting self-represented litigants. In her final year, Angela spent a semester at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic, where she represented clients at the Nova Scotia Supreme Court in family and criminal matters.

Prior to law school, Angela obtained a BA in Psychology (with Distinction) from the University of Calgary, and worked as a research assistant in psychosocial oncology.
