Angelina Argento-Scalia

Angelina Argento-Scalia is an associate at Gowling WLG's Montreal Office, where she works in the Business Law Department.

Her primary interest focuses on corporate law, more specifically with respect to mergers and acquisitions and commercial matters, with ancillary interests in tech law and privacy and data protection.

Angelina graduated with a combined BCL/JD degree from McGill University's Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she graduated with distinction from the Desautels Faculty of Management with a BComm in labour-management relations and in entrepreneurship.

Thanks to the combined knowledge she acquired throughout both her business and legal degrees, Angelina has had the opportunity to work in dynamic environments. More specifically, she helped establish McGill's first-ever Artificial Intelligence for Social Good Lab, worked in Air Canada's Labour Relations department, and also has experience in the tech startup realm.

Over the course of her academic career, Angelina has participated in numerous extracurricular activities. More specifically, she volunteered as a caseworker at McGill's Legal Information Clinic and at the COVID LawHive. The COVID LawHive was a remote legal clinic established at the beginning of the pandemic to help provide legal advice on a variety of COVID-related matters to clients in the common law provinces.
