Anna Sikora

Anna Sikora is a London-based associate in the EU, Trade & Competition team. Anna has experience across the team's practice areas, advising on merger control, sanctions and international trade law. Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Anna completed her training contract in a US firm, including seats in Brussels and in a major aircraft manufacturer's headquarters in France.

Anna has a master's in political science. She is a native Polish speaker and also has a good knowledge of Russian.

Recently, Anna has been supporting Gowling WLG's Brexit Unit, which focuses on assisting businesses with operations in the UK and EU understand the impact of Brexit and formulate strategies to mitigate risks.


Competition Compliance, Investigations

  • Advising a supplier of fuel dispensing equipment in respect of the alleged unlawful restraint on trade and potential changes to their operating models.
  • Advising clients in automotive sector on competition law compliance in respect of their distributor and repairer agreements.

Merger Control

  • Advising a consumer electronics and assistive technology company on the acquisition of a competing business and securing clearance in the UK.

Sanctions and International Trade Law

  • Advising a producer of fragrances and beauty products on the import into Iran.
  • Advising a food producer on their proposed import of food products into Russia.
  • Advising an international distributor of wood products on their proposed European expansion.
