Caren M. Burcher

Caren Burcher is a licensed paralegal in the Gowling WLG Hamilton office, working in the Advocacy Department and a member of the XClaim Portfolio Claims Services team.

Caren specializes in Small Claims Court litigation including civil disputes, insurance, personal injury and subrogation claims; landlord tenant matters; provincial offences; and statutory accident benefits.

Caren also assists counsel in the areas of insurance and personal injury defence matters. She has several years experience working in the areas of plaintiff personal injury, small claims court and landlord tenant matters. Prior to joining Gowling WLG, she operated her own paralegal practice and has been a paralegal and law clerk course instructor at various colleges in Ontario.

She has been working as a paralegal since 1996 and became a licensed paralegal through the Law Society of Upper Canada in March 2008.
