Carson Foggin

Carson is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office. He is Cree and a proud member of Frog Lake First Nation in northern Alberta. He is working toward his JD at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law and will graduate in 2022.

Prior to law school, Carson was in the Indigenous Studies program at the University of Lethbridge. He has eight years of experience working for an excavating company.

Throughout law school, Carson has volunteered with the Indigenous Law Students’ Association, most recently as the vice president. He also volunteered as a caseworker for Student Legal Services on the criminal law project, where he was able to make several court appearances. Carson participated on both the Faculty of Law Litigators hockey team and basketball team.

He is interested in practicing construction law, real estate, and Indigenous law.
