For many years, he has maintained a significant practice relating to counterfeit products, transshipping and parallel imports. During its formative years, Chris was one of the architects of the Anton Piller practice in the Federal Court, and has served as lead counsel in enforcing these search and seizure orders across Canada against everything from counterfeit engine parts to counterfeit cosmetics and footwear.

In 2004, Chris was appointed as a panelist for WIPO’s domain name panel in Geneva. Since that time, he has written over 120 decisions and developed a substantial practice in domain name disputes. In addition, Chris has acted as an arbitrator for the Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA).

Chris has served as a lecturer on trademark litigation at the McGill University/IPIC trademarks program since 2008.

An active member of the community, Chris focuses on education and disability issues. He serves on the executive of the Autism Family Alliance and is involved in fundraising and services in support of autistic teenagers and adults.
