Daniel Down

Daniel Down is an intellectual property associate in the London office of Gowling WLG. He works across a range of intellectual property rights and advises clients on both contentious and non-contentious issues.

Daniel has a particular interest in patent litigation, having worked across a broad range of cases within the life sciences, medical device and technology sectors.

He has also recently spent six months on secondment at a luxury retailer where he was exposed to corporate, finance, tax and general commercial matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Daniel studied law at Durham University and undertook postgraduate research relating to the morality exception to patentability, as applied to biotechnological inventions.
