David Park

David Park is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. David will focus his summer work in the Intellectual Property Group.

David is a JD candidate entering his third year at Osgoode Hall Law School. During his studies, David volunteered as a fellow in the IP Osgoode Innovation Clinic. In this position, he served local small businesses by providing them valuable information on prior art and existing trademarks. He also competed in the 2021 Harold G. Fox Moot on a trademarks case. During his third year of law school, David will be in Osgoode’s IP and Technology Intensive program, where he will gain practical experience in serving IP needs of both large businesses and startups through a 10-week internship. 

Prior to entering law school, David completed a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry at McMaster University. David worked for Bayer’s general counsel and gained experience in various areas of law in the pharmaceutical industry. He also has experience working with Bayer’s Quality Assurance team, which gave him insight into Canada’s food and drug regulations.
