David Plotkin

David Plotkin is an associate lawyer in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Advocacy Group. David's practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on condominium law, estates litigation and administrative law. David is a regular contributor to the popular CondoAdviser.ca legal blog and a member of the Canadian Condominium Institute.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, David was an associate at boutique litigation firms in Montreal and Ottawa, where he advocated on behalf of clients in a wide range of civil, commercial, corporate, employment, administrative and federal regulatory matters. David regularly appears before all levels of courts and administrative tribunals.

While completing his law degrees at McGill University, David was a director of the Legal Information Clinic at McGill, a teaching assistant and research assistant, and participated in the Willem C. Vis international commercial arbitration moot in Vienna.

David volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario's legal clinic; he is also a member of the Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario (AJEFO), and of the Bora Laskin Law Society.
