Deborah Jin

Deborah Jin is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office.

In 2022, Deborah graduated with a bachelor of commerce with distinction from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary, majoring in business technology management. She also completed a study exchange at Seoul National University in South Korea.

Deborah completed her first year of her JD at Osgoode Hall Law School, and she is excited to be back home in Calgary for the summer to explore corporate law.

Throughout her undergraduate degree, Deborah has gained experience in a wide range of areas from non-profit to private sector work in sales, human resources, marketing and business analytics.

In her first year of law school, Deborah dedicated her time to volunteering at Community and Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP) as well as at the Korean Legal Clinic in Toronto through Pro Bono Students Canada.

This summer, Deborah eagerly anticipates an invaluable learning experience from mentors and peers at Gowling WLG. She aims to acquire skills that will complement her law school education.
