Elie Laskin

Elie Laskin is a lawyer in the Advocacy Group in Gowling WLG's Toronto office.

Elie's civil litigation practice encompasses a wide range of matters, including contractual disputes, municipal liability, and class actions. Elie has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List), American Arbitration Association, and Human Rights Tribunal.

Elie received her JD from Osgoode Hall Law School. At Osgoode, she served as a senior editor and head of the recruitment and selection committee of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. Elie also undertook a specialization with the Osgoode Mediation Clinic. Elie was a finalist in the Lerner's Cup Mooting Competition, and was a member of Osgoode's negotiation team at the Walsh Family Moot & Negotiation Competition.

Prior to law school, Elie received an MSc in bioethics from Columbia University and BA in psychology from McGill University.

Elie regularly volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario's Hotline program.
