Émilie-Anne Fleury

Émilie-Anne Fleury is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. She will focus her summer work in the Intellectual Property Group.

Émilie is entering her third year in the French JD program at the University of Ottawa. During the first two years of her legal studies, Émilie was an assistant editor and an associate editor with the Ottawa Law Review and a volunteer for the Samuelson-Glushko Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic (CIPPIC).

Prior to entering law school, Émilie completed a BASc in civil engineering at the University of Ottawa, and worked for more than three years as a structural engineering intern for a consulting engineering firm. In this role, Émilie was responsible for the design and analysis of structures and the administration of construction contracts. She also co-wrote the article, “Parametric Study of Soil-Structure Interaction on Liquid-Containing Concrete Tanks Based on a Modified Version of the NCC 2015, ACI 350.3-06, and ASCE 41-06,” which was presented at the 12th Canadian Conference on Earthquake Engineering.
