Emilie Clairoux

Emilie is an associate in Montréal, she joined the Gowling WLG team as a student in 2017. Her practice focuses mainly on the drafting of various commercial contracts, M&A transactions, corporate financing, as well as infrastructure projects and securities regulations.

She holds a LLB and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Sherbrooke. She is currently completing her Master's degree in Business Law at the University of Montréal - with a focus on governance in publicly-traded companies. Emilie is also a guest lecturer in business law at the University of Montréal.

During her university studies, Émilie worked as a research assistant for a business law professor. She also represented her university at the 2017 edition of the Law Without Walls Contest organized by the University of Miami. She also completed three internships in administration for a company in the aerospace industry.

Since 2015, Emilie has also been involved with community organizations helping women victims of domestic violence in the greater Montréal region. As of 2018, she has been a member of the board of directors of L'Autre Escale, an organization that provides specialized assistance to children exposed to domestic violence.
