Émilie Clairoux

Émilie is an articling student in Montréal, she joined the Gowling WLG team as a student in 2017.

She holds a LLB and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Sherbrooke. She is currently completing her Master's degree in Business Law at the University of Montréal - with a focus on corporate compliance and governance in publicly-traded companies. Émilie is also a guest lecturer in business law at the University of Montréal.

Émilie represented her university at the 2017 edition of the Law Without Walls Contest organized by the University of Miami. The contest focused on legal and technological innovation and involved students, professionals and teachers of the legal industry from all over the world.

During her university studies, Émilie worked as a research assistant for a business law professor. She also completed three internships in administration for a company in the aerospace industry. During these internships, she was in charge of organizing corporate events and special projects for the supply department.

Since 2015, Émilie has also been involved with a community organization helping women victims of domestic violence in the greater Montréal region. She offers her support and knowledge to the socio-legal intervention team.
