Eric L. Presseau

Eric Presseau is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practicing in the Real Estate Group.

His work includes advising on commercial leasing, real estate transactions and secured lending. Eric's skillful, responsive and goal-based approach is sought after by his many long-standing clients as a key driver of their transactional success.

His significant commercial leasing experience includes industrial, office, green leases, pre-construction and retail premises. Eric also advises on commercial lease disputes and landlord enforcement of tenant defaults, real estate brokerage matters, commercial property management, and residential tenancies.

Additionally, he has closed hundreds of acquisition and disposition transactions in many property classes including multi-tenanted office, retail and industrial complexes; owner-occupied industrial facilities; development lands and plan-approved development take-overs; office to residential conversions; joint venture acquisitions; pits/quarries; and complex sale leaseback transactions.

Eric acts for lenders and borrowers on transactional and leasing matters, including secured financing of leasehold interests, acquisition and VTBs, development/servicing projects, and construction.

Eric's experience also includes portfolio advisory with respect to leasing, asset and property management, financing, restructuring and acquisition/disposition work for portfolio owners and managers. The breath of Eric's commercial real estate experience allows a one-stop-shop for clients with portfolio holdings. As part of this work, Eric develops sound and reasonable template materials that allow clients to gain a consistent approach throughout their portfolio.
