Erin J. Runnalls

Erin Runnalls is a partner in Gowling WLG's Calgary office, with 15 years experience practising in the areas of commercial litigation, health law, professional negligence, insurance law, international arbitration, class actions, constitutional, and defamation and media law.

Erin is a recognized leader in the area of commercial litigation. In 2022, she was named a "Lawyer to Watch" in the area of corporate commercial litigation in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and was named among Lexpert's 2021 "Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40."

Erin is currently a Bencher for the Law Society of Alberta and sits on the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Erin also sits on the Boards of ASSIST and the Public Interest Law Clinic at the University of Calgary. Since 2015, Erin has served on several Law Society of Alberta Committees, including Credentials and Education, Practice Review and Conduct.

An advocate for giving back to the legal community, Erin runs the firm's pro bono programs in the Calgary office. In 2015, Erin received the Pro Bono Service Award from Pro Bono Law Alberta, and in 2013 received a Distinguished Service Award for her pro bono work from the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association.

Erin was formerly the chair for the firm's Recruitment Committee, and is the current co-chair of the firm's Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee in Calgary.
