Evgeniya Gizatullina

Evgeniya Gizatullina is a partner in Gowling WLG's Moscow Office, a Russian and Eurasian patent attorney and a member of the firm's global Intellectual Property and Life Sciences groups.

Her practice is focused on patent prosecution and litigation in the areas of chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceuticals, chemical engineering and medical technologies. Over the course of her career, Evgeniya has assisted numerous clients in Russia and CIS countries across a range of industry sectors, including health care, biotechnology and energy.

On the prosecution front, she has significant experience guiding Russian, Eurasian and PCT applications through the full prosecution lifecycle, from freedom-to-operate, infringement and validity opinions to drafting and filing, through to opposition proceedings before the Russian and Eurasian patent offices.

She complements her prosecution abilities with a formidable litigation background, which includes appeal proceedings before Russia's IP Court.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG in 2014, Evgeniya worked as a patent examiner in the RUPTO (department of pharmaceuticals) and as a patent in-house counsel. She has a master's degree in chemistry and biochemistry.
