
Bio
Faris Hassouna is a summer student in Gowling WLG's Toronto office.
Faris is completing his juris doctor at the University of British Columbia.
During law school, he worked as a research assistant for Professor Toby Goldbach and PhD Candidate Tayo Olarewaju, researching judges and how their community involvement impacts their role on the bench. He also served as an executive with the Muslim Law Students’ Association and volunteered as an assistant associate editor for the UBC Law Review.
Prior to law school, Faris interned for in-house counsel at a franchise platform in the Middle East. He also volunteered as a student assistant with the University of Toronto Accessibility Services. During his undergraduate degree, Faris completed a capstone project on attitudes toward jury decision-making.
Faris will focus his summer in the firm’s Advocacy Department.
