
Bio
Genevieve Simmons is an articling student in Gowling WLG's Toronto office. She completed the JD program at the University of Toronto.
During her legal studies, Genevieve was an active member of the Students' Law Society and played a key role on the Future of Law Lab’s research team, contributing to a pivotal report on the regulation of gamification. Additionally, Genevieve served as a Legal Extern at the Entrepreneurship Hatchery, where she offered strategic guidance to FinTech startup founders.
Before pursuing her law degree, Genevieve earned her Bachelor of Commerce with distinction from the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria. She subsequently completed a two-year rotational program at Scotiabank, where she served as an associate in Global Operations and was honored as the valedictorian of her cohort.
