Geneviève Thibault

Geneviève Thibault is a law student in Gowling WLG’s Montréal office.

Geneviève is currently studying in the North American common law program at the Université de Montréal as part of the combined bachelor of laws and common law (JD) program. She is involved with the university’s Criminal Law Committee and has previously volunteered at the university’s Legal Aid Clinic. She also studied Chinese law at the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing as part of a student exchange.

Before starting her law studies, Geneviève studied mathematics for a year at Concordia University. In 2017, she graduated with honours from the Université de Montréal and earned a bachelor’s degree in security and police studies. As part of her training, she worked for various government agencies, both at the federal and provincial levels.
