Heather Caldwell

Heather Caldwell is the general manager of Gowling WLG's Toronto office. In this role, she is responsible for all non-legal activities within the office, including those relating to operations, human resources, accounting and finance, IT, facilities, systems and the library.

With nearly 30 years of law firm management experience, Heather possesses a strong record of disciplined fiscal stewardship and innovative office management solutions. Since joining Gowling WLG in 2008, she has implemented numerous cost-containment strategies, worked to streamline services across departments and ensured that office budgets are aligned with the firm’s annual targets — all while maintaining superior levels of service.

Heather is a member of the firm’s senior Administrative Management Committee and the Toronto Office Management Committee. She has also played a key role in developing the firm’s business continuity plan.

Outside the office, Heather has served as president, vice-president and treasurer of the Toronto Law Office Management Association (TLOMA), where she remains an active member. She has also served as a United Way campaign leader for more than 15 years and contributes to Gowling WLG’s annual Toronto campaigns. Over the past several years, these campaigns have raised more than $1.1 million for the United Way.
