Ingrid Anton

Ingrid is a business law associate in Gowling WLG's Montréal office. Her practice focuses on the negotiation and drafting of various commercial contracts, M&A transactions, corporate financing (bank financing and otherwise), as well as real estate and construction law. She frequently represents vendors and buyers in business acquisition transactions and real estate transactions, and also acts for lenders and borrowers on project, acquisition and operations financings.

Ingrid began her career at Gowling WLG as a summer student and continued on as an articling student before joining the firm's Business Law team in 2012. She worked for a year in the legal department of a global leader in the forest products industry, after which time she returned to Gowling WLG in 2016.

Through her in-house experience, Ingrid has gained a particular appreciation of her institutional clients' needs and priorities, as well as the importance of gaining a thorough understanding of each client's industry and operations in order to provide them with customized, relevant and efficient service.

Before joining Gowling WLG, Ingrid accumulated five years at other leading law firms in Toronto and Montréal. During that time, she also published several articles pertaining to immigration law.

She practises law in English and French, and is proficient in Romanian and Italian.
