Ingrid Anton is a partner in Gowling WLG's Montréal office, practising in corporate and commercial law.
Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, and the negotiation of all types of commercial contracts.
Ingrid regularly advises clients across various sectors — including transport, construction, agriculture, retail sales and manufacturing — with respect to a range of local, national and international transactions.
Ingrid joined Gowling WLG’s Business Law Group in 2012. In 2015, she joined the legal department of a publicly listed global leader in the forest products industry, where she worked closely with executive management on major projects involving multiple jurisdictions and highly regulated manufacturing processes. She returned to Gowling WLG in 2016 with a deepened understanding of her clients’ needs and priorities.
Her clients appreciate her availability, dedication, efficiency and her ability to deliver practical solutions tailored to each client’s industry and operations.
Throughout the years, Ingrid has developed an extensive knowledge of languages. In addition to English and French, which she masters fluently, her linguistics abilities extend to Romanian, German, Russian, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. This knowledge has proved particularly useful in the context of international transactions.
Ingrid is committed to using her knowledge of corporate law to benefit her community. For this reason, she serves as a director of Friends for Mental Health, a non-profit organization that provides support and resources to friends and family of people suffering from mental health disorders. The destigmatization of mental health disorders is a cause that is particularly close to her heart. She also serves as a director on the board of the Visual Arts Centre, a Westmount-based art school, contemporary gallery and outreach art education program.
