Jacob Polowin

Jacob Polowin is an associate and member of the Business Law Group in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office, with a practice focusing on development, municipal, expropriation and planning law and other development issues.

Jacob completed his JD at Osgoode Hall Law School. During his studies, he served as president of the Osgoode International Law Society and completed a one-year intensive placement at the Osgoode Mediation Clinic, where he mediated disputes at Small Claims Court. In addition, he volunteered with Law in Action Within Schools, a collaborative academic and extracurricular education program assisting at-risk students in some of Toronto’s most challenging high schools, and captained the Osgoode Intramural Hockey Team.

Jacob earned an undergraduate degree in history with honours at Queen’s University, where he also studied at the Bader International Centre and played for the Queen’s rugby team.

Jacob serves on the Ontario Bar Association's Municipal Section Executive as a Member at Large.
