James Bruce

James Bruce helps clients to reach commercial agreement and bring projects to contract signature and successful financial close quickly and efficiently.

The procurement of energy and infrastructure projects can be complex and logistically challenging, particularly in cross-border transactions. James brings his knowledge and experience of the energy and infrastructure sectors from major projects in the UK and internationally to reach the best solution for his clients.

James’ experience as in house legal counsel at a multi-national engineering conglomerate prior to joining  the firm offered him a real insight into how our clients benefit from legal advice, how we as lawyers are perceived and how the right legal advice can make a real difference for a business to achieve its goals and to be part of that success in the renewable industry.

James has taken those lessons learnt while working in-house into private practice. Since joining the firm, James has worked on projects across the UK, Middle East and Africa. Every jurisdiction has its own unique challenges and every project its own requirements of us as lawyers and advisers to our client’s business. Getting the law right is crucial, but understanding how this relates to our clients is what turns our advice into a real commercial advantage.
