Jocelyn Duquette is an associate in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, with a practice focused on civil and commercial litigation. He represents both individuals and corporations, with an emphasis on construction matters, commercial disputes, employment affairs and municipal law.
A major portion of Jocelyn’s practice is concentrated in the area of condominium law. He advises condominium corporations, unit owners, directors and property managers on a variety of matters, including document drafting and interpretation, enforcement proceedings, shared facilities disputes, collection of common expenses and owners’ meetings.
Jocelyn also practises in the area of estate law, particularly in matters relating to estate or competency litigation, representing beneficiaries and trustees. His expertise includes challenges and interpretation of wills, contested passing of accounts, claims for support by dependants, and disputes relating to breaches of fiduciary duties.
During law school, Jocelyn spent part of his studies at the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, China.
Fluently bilingual, Jocelyn practises law in both English and French and represents clients from Ontario and Québec.
Jocelyn is on the Board of Directors of the Caisse populaire Trillium Inc. (one of the largest branches of the Desjardins cooperative financial group in Ontario).
