Josh Hanet

Josh Hanet is a Toronto-based Gowling WLG partner practising in the area of advocacy. His practice focuses on medical defence, product liability, commercial litigation and professional regulatory matters.

Josh has represented numerous physicians in both civil and administrative matters. He also has significant experience in product liability defence work, including class actions, for defendants from varied industries, including the consumer product, pharmaceutical, medical devices and manufacturing sectors. Josh's representative work has brought him before all levels of Court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal, as well as professional regulatory bodies and other administrative tribunals.

Josh is a wise, skilled and focused advocate who is committed to providing valuable, reasonable and strategic service to his clients.

Josh's pro bono work includes representing families through Gowling WLG's partnership with Pro Bono Law Ontario and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. He also acts as duty counsel at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Small Claims Court, and has mentored advocates at law schools throughout Ontario.
