Karen A. Hamway

Karen Hamway is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the areas of employment, labour, insurance and professional liability litigation, as well as related administrative tribunal work, including human rights and professional discipline.

Karen provides employers and employees with the daily advice required to manage employment relationships and minimize the risk of disputes.

An experienced trial, appeal court and tribunal counsel, she is also active in alternative dispute resolution methods, such as arbitration and mediation.

Karen is fluent in English and French.

Karen is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, The Advocates' Society and L'Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario.
