Karly Dutcyvich
Karly Dutcyvich is an articling student in Gowling WLG's Vancouver office.
Karly completed her JD from the University of Calgary in 2022. At law school, she was a member of the University of Calgary's Law Student Ambassadors Executive, and sat on the editorial board of the Alberta Law Review. She volunteered for the Discovery House Project with Pro Bono Students Canada, and was a player on the university's law rugby team. Karly is a Dean's List recipient, and earned a Borden Ladner Gervais Scholarship, John D. Petrie Q.C. Memorial Bursary in Law, and Terrence A. Cooper, Q.C. Bursary in Law.
After her first year of law school, Karly worked in Vancouver as a procurement contract analyst for a COVID-19 response team, the Provincial Supply Chain Coordination Unit, for Emergency Management BC. Prior to law school, she worked for the BC Public Service as a recruitment clerk in Victoria.
Karly received a BA (Honours) with a major in English Literature and a minor in Global Development from Queen's University. During the summer breaks of her undergraduate degree, she worked as an administrative student for a boutique Vancouver law firm, as well as a logging company in Port McNeill, on Vancouver Island.
Outside of the office, Karly enjoys listening to podcasts, exercising, being outdoors and travelling.
