Katie Ahn

Katie is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office.

During her studies, Katie was a caseworker at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic in the family law division, where she helped low income people in Ottawa meet their family law needs. She was also the editor for the Ottawa Law Review and a research assistant, concentrating on constitutional issues relating to Aboriginal law. Katie also worked at a boutique family law firm after her first year of law school.

Throughout her undergraduate program, Katie participated in a year-long exchange program to Korea University to Seoul, South Korea.  She was also a research assistant for a clinic psychology lab, focussing on schizophrenia.

In addition, Katie worked as a parliamentary assistant to a Member of Parliament from 2013-2015 in the Parliamentary Office (Ottawa) and in the Constituency Office (Calgary), where she assisted in the development and promotion of private Member’s legislation on sexual assault law.

Katie will be working in the firm's advocacy department. 

She is bilingual in Korean and English.
