Kean Silverthorn

Kean Silverthorn is an associate lawyer in Gowling WLG's Business Law Group in Vancouver, having completed his articles and summer articles with the firm. He maintains a general corporate and commercial practice, advising on a broad range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance (debt and equity), project finance, and general corporate matters across a range of industries.

While at the University of Victoria law school, Kean received numerous academic awards, served as editor-in-chief of the law journal, and acted as vice president of the Business Law Association. Kean also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, and was an academic peer tutor to his fellow law students.

Prior to law school, Kean received his bachelor of commerce from the University of Victoria and completed the Canadian Securities Course. Kean has also worked for the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, a solar lighting start-up, and a multinational home automation firm.

In his free time, Kean enjoys staying physically active.
