Kelsey J. Wong

Kelsey J. Wong is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Vancouver office.

Kelsey is pursuing her JD at the Peter A. Allard School of Law (UBC), and is expected to graduate in 2022. Prior to law school, she completed her BCom in Accounting with Honours at UBC’s Sauder School of Business. Kelsey also worked at a boutique commercial litigation firm in downtown Vancouver before starting law school.

During law school, Kelsey was a research assistant in the area of sexual assault law, and served as the director of finance for the UBC Law Students’ Society, as well as for the Allard Law Women’s Caucus. She is also the finance advisor to the UBC chapter of the Alpha Phi sorority.

Based on her academic achievements in law school, Kelsey has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Lawson Lundell Course Prize in Constitutional Law, the Gudmundseth Mickelson LLP Litigation Counsel Award in Law for academic excellence and the Diane Kilpatrick Memorial Scholarship for good academic standing and an interest in helping others.

After law school, Kelsey will be clerking at the British Columbia Court of Appeal. Aside from her passion for studying law, Kelsey enjoys baking, reading mystery novels and kickboxing.
