Laura Hunter is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Waterloo Region office.
Laura completed her legal studies at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. One of the highlights of Laura’s law school experience was coaching and competing in moots. In her first year, she competed in the Cassels Brock Cup, and in second year, she coached first-year students in the Stewart Cup.
Prior to law school, Laura received a bachelor of knowledge integration from the University of Waterloo. This unusual degree allows students to study broadly so that they can solve interdisciplinary problems. Laura has taken courses in natural sciences, computer science, math, ethics, English, French, public speaking, academic writing and design.
In her spare time, Laura is an avid contributor to local theatre. She spent five years on the board of directors for a community theatre in Elora and has acted and directed with several theatre groups in and around the Waterloo Region.
