Lisa Peeling
Lisa Peeling is an associate in Gowling WLG's Montréal office, practising in civil and commercial litigation.
Specifically, Lisa focuses on recovery services and plays a key role in Montréal's Recovery Services Group.
Lisa has extensive experience representing financial institutions and mortgage loan insurers. She has a proven track record in mortgage enforcement of security for real estate and moveable property, as well as banking litigation, including with respect to bankruptcy, mortgage and real estate fraud, title issues, construction liens, and professional liability.
As a member of the Montréal Recovery Services Group, Lisa provides clients with a comprehensive management service on defaulting loans portfolios. She has acted for clients before the Court of Québec, Superior Court and Court of Appeal, as well as a number of administrative tribunals.
She completed her articling with the firm before becoming an associate in 2010.
In addition to her practice, Lisa is a committee member of the Montréal office's GROW initiative, which enables women to connect with mentors and build relationships that advance their professional careers and enhance their personal lives.
Lisa practises in English and French and is also fluent in Hebrew.
