Lucy Singer

Lucy joined Gowling WLG as an associate in 2020. She advises clients on how to best protect, enforce and exploit their intellectual property (IP) rights. She works across a full range of intellectual property rights, but has a particular interest in brands and designs.

In addition, Lucy has a broad range of experience in contentious IP matters, whether on smaller enforcement matters or in High Court litigation (for instance she advised InterDigital in its complex Standard Essential Patents (SEP) and FRAND dispute with Lenovo).

Lucy has completed the University of Oxford Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice.

Experience

  • Acting as Brand Protection Officer for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games whilst on secondment. This included undertaking enforcement of its international trademark portfolio and the management of various stakeholder relationships;
  • Acting as part of the team on high court litigation in relation to a luxury fashion brand's design and patent rights;
  • Advising major international food manufacturer on the management and enforcement of its international trademark portfolio.
