Luke Robert

Luke Robert is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office.

Prior to his admission to the firm in 2019, Luke obtained his bachelor of science (honours) in microbiology & immunology from McGill University. During his studies, Luke worked as a research assistant and competed at both the provincial and national levels as part of McGill’s men’s varsity swim team. He was also heavily involved in volunteer work and took part in a medical mission to Mangular, Dominican Republic, in association with ISL-H.E.A.R.T. during his second year.

Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Luke worked as a formulations specialist for Orasure Technologies Inc. in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It was during this time that he developed an interest in intellectual property as an intersection between applied science, product development, and the practice of law.

Luke is currently completing the second year of his juris doctor at Queen’s University and remains an active participant in student life. He participates in several faculty recreational sports teams and is currently involved with PBSC as a Student Volunteer.
