Luke Robert

Luke Robert is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office.

Luke completed his Juris Doctor at Queen’s University in 2021. During his time at Queen’s, Luke was involved with Pro Bono Students Canada as a Student Volunteer and represented Queen’s as an oralist in the Walsh Negotiation Moot.

Before starting law school, Luke obtained his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Microbiology & Immunology from McGill University. During his studies, Luke worked as a microbiology research assistant and competed at both the provincial and national levels as part of McGill’s men’s varsity swim team. He was also heavily involved in volunteer work and took part in a medical mission to Mangular, Dominican Republic, in association with ISL-H.E.A.R.T. during his second year.

Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Luke worked as a formulations specialist for Orasure Technologies Inc. in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It was during this time that he developed an interest in intellectual property as an intersection between applied science, product development, and the practice of law.
