Madeline R. Hall

Madeline R. Hall is associate counsel in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office.

Madeline’s practice focuses primarily on health law and medical defence, including acting as counsel to the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA). She has experience representing clients before the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, as well as various administrative tribunals.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Madeline worked for a health professional liability provider, where she provided legal and risk management advice to regulated health professionals. She also worked as a workplace investigator where she developed capabilities in employment law and procedural fairness.

Madeline is passionate about giving back to the community. She regularly volunteers at her local elementary school, volunteers for Pro Bono Ontario, and was a member of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute’s Research Ethics Board for several years.
