Martin L. Palleson

Martin Palleson is a partner in the Vancouver office of Gowling WLG. He is the Vancouver office advocacy department head and practises commercial litigation, with emphasis on corporate and insolvency and restructuring disputes. Martin also has significant experience in real estate, franchise, construction, and insurance litigation, as well as environmental/natural resource law.

Martin has appeared frequently at all levels of British Columbia and Federal Courts. Martin also has experience in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. Called to the British Columbia Bar in 1986, Martin has been practising law for more than 30 years. He obtained his LLB from the University of British Columbia in 1985, and was awarded the Gold Medal for achieving the highest marks in his class. In 1988, Martin also received his Masters Degree in Law from the University of Oxford (BCL, 1987/88).

Martin was an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law teaching natural resources law from September, 1991 until 1995. He has also published numerous legal articles.
