Max Moore

Max Moore is a principal associate in the corporate team, based in Birmingham. Max joined Gowling in 2019 following 11 years working for a large international law firm in London.

Max is a general corporate lawyer by background, taking in the full range of M&A, joint ventures, limited partnerships and LLPs, corporate group reorganisations and restructurings, private equity and other corporate matters and has experience across a broad range of sectors.

His main sector focus is all aspects of corporate real estate, involving a mixture of acquisitions and sales of real estate through SPVs, often involving offshore vehicles such as Luxembourg SARLs and Jersey JPUTs and a range of property development/construction joint ventures.

Max's greatest area of expertise is in hotels where he is a core member of the global Gowling hotel practice. Including his experience at his previous firm, Max has advised on some of the largest hotels M&A transactions in the UK market in recent years.


  • Advising LDC and an exiting management team on their disposal of holiday parks business Away Resorts to Bregal Freshstream.
  • Advising AXA on the disposal of 20 St Andrew Street, London EC4A to the National Bank of Kuwait for £73.8m.
  • Advising Schaeffler on its disposal of UK subsidiary Barden (a specialist ball bearing manufacturer) to HQW.
