Mehri Ghazanjani Articling Student

Mehri Ghazanjani

Mehri Ghazanjani is an articling student in Gowling WLG's Toronto office. She completed her BCL/JD at McGill University Faculty of Law.

Prior to law school, Mehri completed a PhD in sociology at McGill University, where she taught undergraduate courses in sociology and international development from 2015 to 2023.

In summer 2021, Mehri interned at the HIV Legal Network in Toronto, playing a key role in preparing submissions for UN bodies, including the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. In addition, Mehri completed a year-long legal clinic course at the Center for Research-Action on Race Relations (CRARR), a non-profit civil rights organization in Montreal committed to promoting racial equality, assisting victims of discrimination through activities involving legal research and advocacy.

Throughout her studies, Mehri won multiple awards and distinctions such as the SSHRC (Social Science and Humanities Research Council) and FRQSC (Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture) scholarships for her MA studies at the University of Toronto, the Vanier Graduate Scholarship for her PhD studies, and John Fisher and Jane Scott-Long Scholarships for her legal studies at McGill University.
