Melissa Cheng

Melissa Cheng is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. 

Melissa completed her law degree at Western University, with a concentration in Intellectual Property, Information and Technology. During her studies, Melissa volunteered at Pro Bono Students Canada, where she developed and coordinated legal education aids for at-risk youth in the community.

Prior to entering law school, Melissa obtained an honours bachelor of science degree specializing in neuroscience and psychology from the University of Toronto. During that period, she assisted in the creation of a psycho-social intervention program that improves the acculturation experience of international students to Canada.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and experiencing the great outdoors. For many years, Melissa was also been involved with the Girl Guides of Canada as a Scout Leader.
