Mélissa Dion

Mélissa is a notary in Gowling WLG’s Montréal office. A member of the firm’s Business Law Group, she focuses her practice primarily in real estate and condominium law, as well as financial services.

She works closely with a range of financial institutions, lenders, investors, developers and other businesses, structuring financing for large-scale acquisitions and drafting co-ownership declarations.

Passionate about mentorship, Mélissa is actively involved in training the next generation of legal professionals. In 2015, she organized a recruitment event sponsored by the Chambre des notaires du
Québec designed to bring together and match articling students with articling program supervisors.

Mélissa holds a master’s degree in Notarial Law from the University of Sherbrooke, a bachelor of Civil Law from Université de Montréal and a bachelor in Political Science from McGill University.

She practises in English and French.
