Michael Piaseczny

Michael Piaseczny is a summer student in Gowling WLG’s Waterloo Region office.

Michael is currently pursuing his juris doctor at the University of Ottawa, where he is a senior board member of the Ottawa Law Review and co-editor-in-chief of Inter Alia, the Faculty of Common Law Student Magazine. In summer 2020, Michael was a student scholar fellow at the Law Commission of Ontario.

Prior to law school, Michael completed an honours bachelor of arts in political science, master of applied politics and master of political management. During the fulfilment of his second master’s degree, Michael worked as a policy analyst at the Hotel Association of Canada, focusing in government and public affairs.

Michael is a born and raised resident of Waterloo, having spent many years representing the city in competitive baseball and hockey.
