Michael Walsh

Michael Walsh is an associate in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office. His practice focuses on government affairs, privacy and access to information.

Michael advises clients on a range of privacy matters, including the development of privacy and compliance policies. He also assists clients with data protection matters and matters relating to federal and provincial access to information legislation.

As a part of his government affairs practice, Michael advises and assists clients with government relations and regulatory matters.

Michael completed his JD at the University of Ottawa. During his final year, Michael received the International Association of Privacy Professional's Westin Scholar Award for his high performance in privacy law coursework. Prior to entering law school, Michael completed his Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Political Studies with a Certificate in Business at Queen's University.
