Mohammed Muraj

Mohammed Muraj is counsel at Gowling WLG's Toronto office, and has a strong background in business and corporate law focusing on software and technology.

Mohammed is one of a handful of lawyers worldwide who have participated in the launch of a blockchain, which involved managing the regulatory, compliance, structuring, and governance aspects of a tier 1 blockchain protocol. He was recently involved in the successful launch of the Polymesh protocol by the Polymesh Association in Switzerland.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Mohammed worked as general counsel in the cyber security and blockchain areas for seven years, and has gained significant industry experience handling corporate, regulatory, securities, compliance, and finance (fundraising, restructuring, and divestment) matters relating to technology companies.
