Nareg Froundjian

Nareg joined Gowling WLG as a summer student in 2018 and will article with the firm in January 2019. Prior to orienting himself towards private practice, he consulted with courts and tribunals across jurisdictions on justice reform and lead projects to enhance access to justice.

He received his LLB from Université de Montréal and is a candidate for an LLM in IT law, researching the liability of online intermediaries for user-generated content. He completed a trilingual degree in business administration at HEC Montréal and had the opportunity to study in Spanish at the Escola Superior d'Administració i Direcció d'Empreses of Barcelona.

Passionate of all things tech, Nareg is involved with the LawWithoutWalls program since 2016 and with the Cyberjustice Laboratory since 2015. His interests have tabbed him into the realm of artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the digital economy, with a particular penchant for their applications within the legal profession.

He seeks to innovate wherever he may be, enjoys collaborating with software developers and young entrepreneurs, travels whenever he can spare it, and is otherwise happy discussing philosophy while sampling peaty scotches.
