Natasha Tames

Natasha Tames is an associate in the Advocacy Department in Gowling WLG's Calgary office. She practises in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance and professional liability.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Natasha practised in insurance, coverage disputes, transportation and construction at a boutique insurance firm in Calgary, and articled with the Provincial Court of Alberta in Calgary. She received her juris doctor from the University of Alberta in 2014 where she volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, Student Legal Services, the Zebra Child Protection Centre as a child advocate, and competed in the Canadian rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court in 2014.

During law school, Natasha interned with a grassroots organization in South Africa where she researched different state approaches to the incorporation of international anti-sex trafficking law in order to assist in drafting model domestic anti-sex trafficking law. Prior to law school, she interned with the Faces, Voices and Places for the Millennium Development Goals team with the Pan-American Health Organization in Washington, DC.
