Nick Twarog

Nick Twarog is a summer student in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office.

Nick completed the Foundation Year Programme at the University of King’s College in Halifax, before finishing his bachelor of arts in political Science at Carleton University.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Nick helped develop Aboriginal consultation protocols for contaminated site remediation in the Territories and participated in Nunavut Devolution negotiations with Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. He is an avid mooter, having competed in several tournaments, including the Willms & Shier Environmental Law Moot, Osgoode Hall Undergraduate Moot and the Capital Cup.

During his second year of law school, Nick also volunteered at an Aboriginal rights firm in Ottawa through Pro Bono Students Canada.

Nick spends his free time playing hockey, golfing, travelling or catching the latest Marvel movie in theatres.
