Nicole Mason

Nicole Mason is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office.

Nicole earned her JD from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University.

During her studies, Nicole was an ally member of the Dalhousie Indigenous Law Student Association (DILSA) and a member of Sober Support. Nicole volunteered with Pro Bono Dalhousie, completing a research assignment with a focus on law school pedagogy and the impact of contemplative practices in both law school and in practice. In 2019, Nicole spent the summer at the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, where she conducted research on access to justice initiatives at the appellate court level.

Prior to entering law school, Nicole completed her BA in sociology and social anthropology from Dalhousie University. Throughout her education, Nicole worked part time as a private respite care provider.

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys cycling, hiking with her dog and exploring Ottawa.
